In-State Tuition for American Indian Students

In 1997, the State of Iowa Board of Regents approved a proposal to provide in-state tuition to members of tribes with a historical connection to the state of Iowa, specifically, the Iowa, Kickapoo, Menominee, Miami, Missouri, Ojibwa (Chippewa), Omaha, Otoe, Ottawa (Odawa), Potawatomi, Sac and Fox (Sauk, Meskwaki), Sioux, and Winnebago (HoCak).
